I had my first general physology prac last wed...... had to particpate in the SARS drill as i had my prac ard the targeted area...... aniwae, we were given dried sea fireflies during de prac. Obective of te prac is to see the enzymatic mechanism of the enzyme luciferase. We crashed the fire flies which all were onli less than 5mm long..... so tiny. Smelled like ikan billis when crashed. It's a crustean by the wae, if u dunno wats that, i meant that i had a protective outer shell and thus is a relative of the crabs etc.

haiz.... had my chem prac last thurs..... think i ruined it....... damn.... While i was turning the glasstube waiting to see whether my sample melted, the stupid tube broke!!!! & there goes my accuracy for my trail run & actual run.... spoiled my whole mood, plus i was rushing for time, trying to complete before the time limit..... haiz.... aniwae cn change the figures..... Damn man, still nd to do lab report.... still haven do yet.... going to be due soon.

Had a fire drill too on thurs.... @ my hall..... haha, pretty much fun..... the whole thing lasted less than 10 mins... the shortest fire drill i ever partcipate in..... the hall was pretty much empty as u noe, nobody wans to run abt @ 830pm.... haha. aniwaes, i was the fire warden as i'm a floor I/C... haha.

After that, we had something i waited for 1 wk!!!! my blk's RF supper!!!! yea!!!! my RF was away thus i had my hall master to be our temp RF. So.... we got to go his hse to have supper!!!! V. nice to be invited to my hall master's hse!!! Best thing...... donuts frm donut fac!!!! lolx yeppy!!!!

Biodiversity Rox! <3

I had my biodiversity Changi beach field trip last fri. Quite a new experience consider us going there not for relaxation purpose but rather to know more about nature & life.

At first i tot it'll b a super hot day cos of the weather in sch, so warm!!!!! As we near Changi area, the weather was nice, so cooling, shady & cloudy. We all hope that i would'nt rain. The weather in fact stayed that way throughout the whole practical which lasted roughly about in total 3hrs. The shortest biodiv prac we ever had thus far. My TA was mia @ the US, so our TA for this prac for my grp was a v. fun english guy. V funny, he sent us an e-mail before the prac in the morning reminding us to remind our TA to put on sunblock...... diao, i noe but still funny.... haha.

While others are enjoying the scene at the beach, we are walking ard looking for life. I guess those who passing by must b wondering wat we all r doing. Most of us went into the water to have a look at some of the underwater life. My group manage to see a sea anemone partially submerged in the water, near it is a small cluster of small catfishes trying to burrow into the sand between 2 rocks. Cute!!!! lolx. There were a small population of drills (a type of sea predatory snails) & lots of barnacles dead & alive cn't really tell the diff. After that we r given a choice to b a fisherman for a few mins at the shallow end of the sea......to see what we could catch. We did'nt catch much.... so sad..... We manage to catch bell jellyfishes which r really bell-liked (tiny-transparent & doesn't sting), lots of tiny fishes that r like ikan billis (lolx) & a pipefish (a type of sea-horse) plus a REALLY tiny shrimp lolx.

We went to see what the other grps & the TAs have caught. dun be suprised to hear what animals i have seen!!!! There's was a filefish aka leather jacket, 2 really small pufferfish, a fish that resembles a clownfish except that it's covered with dull red & vlack strips, a mantis shrimp, 2 ribbon fishes (dead as they cannot survive being caught by a net), a tiny moon crab, a cuttlefish, lots of ikan billis (haha), pipefishes and a small sea-horse (v. pretty but could onli get a look at it fom topview, haiz, wat a pity).

Unfortunately, we still had our CA after the prac at the beach. Pretty wierd..... haha, we tok a grp photo of my prac cum tut grp, too bad we r missing 1 person..... We all look rather unglam esp me..... lolx here's it!!!!

FHD!!!!!!!!

Yesterday nite was my hall's FHD (Formal Hall Diner), although they ask us all to dress smart casual, pple still look rather formal, esp the guys as the always wear longsleeved and slacks..... lolx. I'm in the DnD comm. and so dis yr, we sold flowers yesterday during FHD..... Not really nice looking but still pretty enough, some are really blooming nicely though.... heehee.

Freshmen were supposed to find a senior date to the event although many, like me, didn't find one...... lolx. still had some fun. Well, there u'll see all those couples tog.... interesting hor, haha. The food was rather good..... hope that they cook those good food daily for us....Lolx, i dun think that will happen.......

Yeah!!!! It's the week's finially drawing near & most of my CAs are OVER!!!! So pleased!

Didn't do v well for my first organic chem CA.... gotna admit, i didn't study really hard for it. My general physology's not too bad lah.... =)

Haiz, Uni isn't easy man...... tough life & stressed...... Glad that we can have a break. Still got 1 more CA after recess wk.... boo...... at least got time to study.....

So happy that i'm meeting the gals out on sat nite for kbox session. Been too long since i enjoyed myself outside sch. =) Can finally connect wif the outer world..... sounds like i was stranded for like a mth or more.... heehee

Finally Finish watching ANTM cycle 10, they had a really nice runway but nt as grand as cycle 9. Now starting to watch ATNM cycle 1 as i only managed to catch cycles 8-10. Pretty interesting to see how antm progress. Aidos, gona continue watching antm!!! =)

Tests!!!!!

Recess week's drawing near....... i got CAs coming up next week......

Well, i gave up my mkg head post and now i feel more relaxed. Right now, i'm busy with my Dinner and Dance stuffs.... busy sending out emails of enquires about their venues and spaming my head of DnD with their replies. LOLX. So far, it's been fun, really looking forward to next yr's DnD. yeah, it's next year, 14 March 2009!!!!! Haix, later got Biodiversity lab and an essay quiz after my lab and i dunno how m i gona suvive it. Man, zoology's tough!!!! TOTALLY!!!!!!! So many terms and Phylums to learn and memorise..... I almost cn't stand it. When my lecturer's talking, i'm like overwelmed with all the new stuffs going into my brain. That's y i prefer botany.

Speaking of which, dis word 'botany' reminds me of ger. Well, on Tues, me and ng were deciding on whether to go biz sch or fass to hav our lunch, we in the end decided biz. Ate their western, nt really nice though...... met up wif Sarly as she was there having lunch too and gona chiong for her tut. Ger came along after her tut too. So i told ger and ng abt my v interesting botany lecturer who's retired and works at the botanical garden as a guide, and his v interesting comments during my lect wif him. So instead of saying 'botany' - study of plants, ger said 'plantology'....... which i dun tink theword even exist.....

But aniwae, they had a good laugh over my lect's comments. I'm gona miss him.... sad. Not that my zoology lecturer isn't funny too, i guess i'm really more into plants than animals.

Haiz & more Haizs.......

Dis week is not a nice week for me...... I already felt that mayb i took too many comms. or cca. It's really not easy especially if u hav absolutly NO experience in the area. I'm cuerrently mkg head for my hall production & it's REALLY not easy.... Why did i ever take the job..... Guess i hav no choice but to be more determine to push myself forward and do well, hopefully though.....

Hate meetings, esp when they r going to be like at 11pm at nite..... haiz..... hate doing proposals too.... esp for things that i hav no confidence in like mkg...... someone save me??? I like going to give up my post but feels irresposible if i do that since i have already in it, in the process of strating the whole project. Man, it's gona be a hell of problem for me.

Too much negativity's coming out from me, so unlike me... but i can't help it. I'm gona get over it & like do the job. but i think the whole thing's going to turn out fine at the end, hopefully. I guess i have to work REALLY REALLY hard, & luckily, i found someone hu cn share the job wof me, nt tt i'm pushing my duties, but rather i still hav other commitments in other comms. Cheer up, & get ready to GO!!!!

CCA!!!!

Been a long while since i blogged, ger complained....... (Justine even worse i tink..... lolx, so long nv update, lolx). Aniwae, school life's becoming more familiar to me as time passes. time REALLY flies....

My CCA's gona start tml, netball, first training ever. I tink it's gona to be fun!!! lolx, just came back from my blk comm meeting & now currently watching antm cycle 10 episode 3, picking up from wat i left off just now. Pretty interesting dis cycle, managed to coax ger into watching. nt coax actually.... haha, more like me mentioning it & she goes WWWWAAAAA & she's gona watch it!!! lolx

Ger came over to my room just now ard 5, when she was like supposed to end at 6...... =) Had her to brg me some treats, yea!!! But she ate my pringles, beacon-favoured, nice taste but a little too salty. Shld try it. =)
