I haven been blogging...no mood to. Now all i wana do is to vet out all my fustration i felt for myself... I haven been doing well academically this term and i have a paper tml but i just cnt concentrate. Exams start tml and im not prepared.

i'm worried for my monday paper...which i haven been doing well since the start...its the worse of my nightmare cos it involves memorisizing...all i gota do now is to buck up and i cannot let everyone down. My cap cannot drop...I dun wana end what ive started so soon...pls god be on my side. Haiz

Family outing @ ubin

went to Ubin last saturday with my family to cycle... this was initiated by my dad and at first i was unwilling to go but in the end he was the one complaining that my mum dragged him along and he complained throughout the journey...haiz...he hasnt been exercising for decades thats why...

its was deepavali so... there's lots of indians... really alot... saw lots of things but too bad the tide at chek Jawa was high...so didnt get to see the wildlife there except crabs in the inner part of the mangroves... Got a really ugly tan and my skin is peeling off.... the weird thing is that im the only one that got a tan... lolx

Half way thro year 2 sem 1

I havent got the time to blog, and blogging didnt come into my mind even if i do had the time... lots of things have happened.

during recess week, i went for a jcrc pulau ubin 2D1N OBS camp. Tiring but fun. woke up very early for it and trade my study time for the experience. there were a total of 36 of us.

First adgenda was to mingle around wif the other halls pple (still in mainland) and next stop was at the punggol beach area. our task was to swim out into the sea to reach our boats and kayakt over to the pulau ubin OBS site which was just adjacent from where we started off. Did rockclimbing and some obstacles in the air. it was tiring but a great experience. After dinner, we hav this river crossing game. coordination was the key. The next dae, which was our last dae, we had a small expedition just around camp. We built two rafts to using poles, barrels and ropes. our task was to use those rafts that we bulit to row ourselves at sea back to camp. the tide us when we set off and the current was rather strong. i was sitting at the back so i didnt row, but i noe those guys that rowed, it was tough to control the raft. Despite that, of course we made it back to the camp, though our design of the raft wa not the ideal one, it was great working wif the pple.

my inner tighs itched and was stinging after camp... must be cos of the sea. thinking of the event reminds me of blackie. A stray black friendly dog that loves company. it kinda followed us wherever we went.

Its week 3 but im ady so busy wif stuffs here and there. not much time to study and personal time... =(

AGM's tonite and after todae, im offically up in my 'hot' seat. jap is taking up most of my time and i dun understand stats!!!! =( i dun like stats. I just hope my c.a.p wont drop.... it cannot drop!!!! =( need to catch up.... looking forward to ecology lab... heehee but thats next week aww...

Rag day 2009

Its been a long journey and 3 mths pass by like that. I used to think that 3 mths is such a long time but wen ure busy everything went by so quick. Our hard work finally pay off and we won the overall best float and the most environmental friendly award. We all cried wen we tot we didnt get anything cos the award that we aimed for has seeked another owner, and we wonder why because it cnt b compared to ours except the mechanism!!! bs the judging was screwed up both in faculty and hall for this award.

aniwae, since we won the best float, we can go to chingay. never in this history of KE7 that we won the award and never had we had the chance to represent ourselves and NUS in chingay!!!!! I'm so proud to be in KE7. i never regret a single moment abt staying here from the first time i set my foot in this hall. It's been intergrated into my lifestyle and i committed myself to this hall. Now that Rag and Flag has ended, its time to settle down and start school and a brand new role awaits for me in this wonderful hall im currently in. I love KE, we love KE7!!!!

Float is really coming to an end and i cnt wait. the last 2 daes, no i shld sae the last dae of preparation to win and this time we are ready to win BIG. everybody's hard work will pay off on sat and i really cnt wait tho we have to stay awake for the whole nite and day tml and sat.

Thro Float i realise that there's really many diff types of people, personality, styles and strengths. My artist head for one in my view is a complete freaky weirdo. seriously. For one he HATES life science and Loves everything that have to do with China and chinese and yet he's a life sci mjr and is going to 4th yr cos then his frens r all in bio class thus he took bio. Like Harlo??? nobody forces u to study bio cos if u dun u will lose all yr frens??? anyway he's a total emo king and FREAKING antisocial skinny weak naggy annoying and disgusting guy wif lots of leg hair. and im not afraid to say that i totally loathe him. i dun even want to see him. he throws a whole empty wall and ask me to do & saes he has no time to help me customise a scale yet he has time to help others paste theirs. wth. when he say he will come and help later that wld mean that he only come and SEE my progress and go back to help others. he uses pen to draw lines on a black surface. have some common sense pls, u cnt even c the lines properly. he nv help me complete a single task. in my point of view he seriously failed and sux as a leader. so wat if he doesnt want to take this job. from this i definately can c that he has nv been a leader and this job is overbearing for this noob. since u took it, u shld b responsible to the end. 6 more days and hurray. really. i had enuff of him and todae im vetting out my anger and fustration here in this entry.

Met people that r contrasting to my style. the things that i hate to do may b smth that others love. =) its fun working wif them except my section head cos i totally dislike him. anyway. lets get it over and done wif.

Rag day is coming and Float is coming to an end. All our hard work, sweat, joy, fustrations, unhappiness and exhaustion will crease but memories will forever remain. Hopefully our efforts are regonized and being displayed to the nation. Hopefully from here we can gain more publicity for our beloved hall. Its a beginning of a new revolution, a change that would hopefully and truthfully bring eternal glory to us.

Blogging again and todae i felt super cheery. =) after we put all the stuffs that we have done together and up, i never felt this excited for float. there's more to come to be sure and this is just the start and the spark for the more to come. =)

tomorrow will be the checking in of the singaporean freshmen and my bro is coming to my hall. got CD block instead of AB as i wished. Eddie didnt noe that my bro is coming in and he got chosen before eddie picked. Too bad i guess but CD's alright. Dun wan him to go West wing.... lolx cos i dun like my blk tho there's great frens here. My current room's bigger, higher ceiling, cooler at nite but the drawer's smaller in the wardrobe and it's the least noise control area.... nevertheless im gona enjoy my stay here. Hopefully i can get back my old room next year if im staying =)

blogging....but nth to blog abt...tired and aching...knees and ankles hurt bad...

None of my family members actually rmb my bdae, sad but to tell the truth i dun really care. this bdae to b is like any other normal day, just that i went out wif my frens for a breather. seafood lunch buffet and a cake at nite. my mum scolded me then for going out again at nite but then after realised that it was my bdae that dae after i told her im going to Tampines 1 for a cake. my sis wished me at nite, i guessed it was cos my mum told her it was my bdae. however, my bro bought a v cute pillow for me a few daes later. thx everyone hu wished me and celebrated wif me. thx to those hu wanted to but cnt celebrate wif me. appreciated it. appreciate the effort of my float team to surprise me tho i noe smth's gona happened but it was a touching entrance =D the stage curtains went up and pple came down from the stage wen the lights went out =) thx everyone

Sorry frens for not being able to go out wif u, cos of my committment. another mth, to b exact 3 weeks of choinging. i'm feeling the highness now, the heatof float and everyone's exhausted . Hope all our efforts pay off very well and win. It's a winning float, we know it. Let's just pray wish hope it will stand out in the crowd and the judges pick it.

Celebrated my bdae 2 daes ago. haiz tired came back from float at 3am in the morn, hav to start at 10 later tiring. my thumb hurted again but this time for a diff reason. hungry now... duno what to blog.....

Looking forward to PRCS's 10th anniversary gala dinner tml evening. =) gona meet up wif pple that ive not seen for v long plus its gona b another break im gona take during the next 5 weeks of pure choinging.... =(

Another wk is abt to go by just like that. Dis wk is diff, cos i didnt do much as my in charge prop is to 96% done. =) so happy. Dis wk has been lots of fun & laughs thus easy to go by =)

Did smth lame ytd... lolx will upload the pic i took after rag day =) Sat at the table at the same position the whole morning trying to fix smth out of a material i had. spent the whole afternoon trying to scale them down to fit my prop size. went to holland v ytd late nite. 2nd time dere.

Float week 2

2 weeks of float/rag has gone by and i cnt help but feel the slight tug of exhaustion that is pulling me down and dragging me slower. While others enjoy the trill and excitement of vaction and looking to each and every outing and meetup, i'm bearing wif the heat and the stress both mentally and physically to meet the deadlines and complete the float by august.

While others enjoy themselves and plan every outing and try to get pple to join in the fun, i dun bother replying to these msgs...cos i see no point as i cant even make it... y bother wasting my ph balance to reply? Sounds selfish but its a fact of life that u and i have to bear wif. esp when my balance is low... 3 invites to meet up wif my jc frens, 0 attended. 8 more weeks to rag day, 1 deadline gone by.

I cnt bear wif the feeling of being stuck at hall... totally sux. cnt go aniwhere cos of the working hrs. life's gona get harder...i have made mental preparations but m not that willing to submit to that fate. when i have the chance to go back during the weekends, i will not hesitate to take the chance to get a breath of the outer air, chill and relax outside and slp at home. hang out wif my fam and then back to hall again. Sad life, its smth i chose, i regret but i dun wan to b irresposible so i carry on and experience the hardship. Hopes the end result is smth that makes our effort worth it all. Aimed high enuff, hopefully we can achieve that goal.

I cnt wait for another day at sentosa. Beach vb wif hot bod frens. Cnt wait to tan my pale unhealthy looking poisoned skin. A day of chilling relaxing and exercising. Plz come to me soon.

Sentosa dae

The long awaited sentosa outing was finally quite successful or rather successful if not for the rain the came pouring after the bloodly hot sun was shining for the entire morning.... =( Went to sentosa wif Elizabeth my jc vball teammate and her fren's frens. haven seen her for a year and finally a chance to hang out again thats way cool =D hope we still have the chance to do that =D so happy~

Burnt my sole (ouch!).... its like still red from the freakin hot siloso beach sand awww.... but was great to b able to play vball again wif some pros =D but i still cnt serve upperhand and still didnt dare to spike. mmm.... ok new resolution - master the basic of upperhand serve and spike at any opportunity

Aftermath of stardust...

Went to zouk for stardust, a singing compeition for solos and bands on fri. Drank a hse mix - Voldka & lime, drank 2 in fact, the second one was a treat from my senior =) thx alvin.

The bands were great & i enjoyed the music and the company of my frens tho i didnt stick wif them. Just pop by their side and said hi. Tried Ger's fav drink, wiskey & it tasted horrible..... lolx well i still prefer voldka lolx. i wonder y u like wiskey ger.... weird taste haha sorry. After the event, went to dbl o wif alvin, yannick and mae yue. Whoot! cos i just wana to go club and drink lolx oops... =P (second time clubbing tho i didnt dance teehee)

Met more of the seniors from hall, rather graduated seniors from hall =) cool. Drank Black label with and without mix and a shot. I just realised that black label is a mixed of wiskeys... lolx and i said that wiskey tasted horrible... lolx but black label is nice tho =P

Felt giddy so i went home, actually i felt dizzy even b4 stepping into zouk... haiz =( cnt enjoy myself fully... next time if i wana club i must make sure im at my best wana get high then i go haha. next time must brg u go pris!!! lets all go club cos mus brg yf later he get paranoid.... haha

Finally, the long awaited day has arrived... im free of finals now! Not feeling very happy though cos ive not much things to do & ive slacked here & there throughout the entire 2 weeks span of exam weeks.... haiz...

packing my stuffs to move to a new room im staying wif a fren for holiday comm.... for next yr's Flag & Rag... gals y dun u guys wana stay hall??? haiz missed u guys =)

Come to think of it, i totally enjoyed my hall-life, full of fun, excitement (mayb), fustration. joy & perhaps some sorrow in it to make life not so perfect. thats how life shld b, isnt it? =) this makes us appreciate all the things around us & ive nv regretted making the decision of wanting to stay in KE7 hall, then till now. not sure if i'll continue to stay in 3rd yr, but if i do have enuff money i wld def stay. lets hope i can find a job to earn it. =)

13 more daes to my last paper - Biochem.... i'm feeling slightly relaxed thus blogging, but not too slack as i wana do well in it. This entry's gona b all abt the creatures ive seen ard my room over the past 2 sems in KE7 hall. =)

I'll definately miss my current room, but i may meet new creatures ard & in my new room =). Looking forward to a new env but i tink itll def gona b Hot in afternoon & v noisy.... lolx

i'm feeling stressed now.... perhaps it's due to the pressure i put upon my shoulders... i just got this bad feeling about smth thats gona happen next sem, starting august... i got this 'y did i land myself in this' thinking now... but im trying my best to stop it & try my utmost best to make it work out... hopefully everything will turn out at the very least fine & i hope for the better...

I'm having this internal struggle of suppressing this unwanted feeling, & im too stressed over my finals. so many things to rmb yet i can only rmb a little of the basics.... thats crap...

Ytd nite was room draw for KE7 hall, ah.... didnt get wat i wanted!!!! my own current room!!! my blk was the first to close as usual... hot spots but the row that i wanted to stay in is all empty!!!! y y y???

Haiz so i have no choice to move to the west wing cos i dun wana stay in CD though always got angmo to c =D lolx. Im gona stay in G blk next yr, G308 the row where all my frens r @ =) Good news to u gals, if u r coming to my room u onli need to climb 2 stories from the bus terminal lolx, no more of the lengthy flight of stairs which u all almost fainted wen u first came =D teehee gd thing also lah cos if i get my own room there'll b nobody staying upstairs & downstairs of me until the freshies come T_T all alone... sad but AB is a nice place to stay. for anyone hu wans to stay in KE7 hall of nus, recommanded AB block esp B =) cos its my blk =D Cheers~!

Time realli passed so fast this sem, & its coming to an end. An end i hope to be good. I'm gona sit for a CA todae that doesnt hav a final paper, hope it'll turn out well. I dun hav this urge to blog but hav the urge to go out & enjoy myself wif my frens.

Another 3 more weeks to vacation, longing for it though it wld b a short one, 3 weeks. Tot of working part-time but my section head is still persuading me to commit full-time. I'll see how it goes, if there isn't any jobs then i'll definately commit. Haiz money is hard to find & i hope that i can work the weekends or free daes from next sem onwards to earn my hostel fees & save up for my goal of SEP in year 3. Jia you~

Dramafest 2009

Ytd Marks Dramafest and the end to my ccas in hall & a closing to the end of term & the start of exams.....!!! so many things have been happening this sem & it has gone by so fast yet silently. The business cos kept me busy & i have no time nor the appetite nor anything special to blog abt. Well this is my new addition to episodes of my hall life =D

Though i only joined abt a mth ago in order to get enough points to stay in hall, i enjoyed the time wif my fellow hallmates. Learning new skills is smth that comes daily i feel. Though my job is simple & slack like alvin said... only press button to control curtain... lolx coordination & teamwork is key to any success in such big events, especially combined hall effort make us see though our differences & work out for the best.

Dramafest was a great success, thx to all who went to support, the casts as well as EH & KR pple, & how can i forget KE pple hu worked so hard to get the props & the sweat while moving the sets in ltd time on stage as well as off stage. To ALL my fellow teammates, thx for giving me a experience as a stage crew member & the support and efforts we shared throughout the event. CHEERS!!!

i duno what to blog abt lol... mmm... mayb shall blog abt this week. Well, FB got me carried away from blogging lolx. Playing mousehunt & bejeweled bitz lolx. Mon nite was block dae & our theme this yr was 'back to sch' so everyone was supposed to dress up like sch kids again.... lolx since i threw away all my unifroms... lolx i had to find some other clothing to wear to look sch related... lolx this is gona b the last & onli time im acting cute... no more spare me... haha

borrowed the skirt from my neighbour/senior. lol cos i dun hav a flareskirt to go along to look like a sch kiddo. introducing my veri tall fren (look at the ht diff wahaha) from germany. he stay 2 blks down from me & came for exchange last sem & dis sem is gona to b last sem here... so sad to see them all go.... =(

KE7 Dinner n Dance 2009

"In your wildest dreams" - was quite a success excluding the mini chaos we experienced & issues like 'overflowing' people. Its was rather fun, even the preparation itself. Siew yi(head) drove some of us to the country club... its a half-hr ride & while nearing yishun area, it started to rain. the place is secluded & i tink pple onli go there for golf like the tanah merah country club. The function room is rather nice, nope the whole lobby looks grand really pretty.

Me & my fren/blkmate from Dentistry, Sze hwee =D doing nth at the reception table ard evening. lolx got lots of pics wif her =D Below r pics taken outside the function room. i love the couch =D so victorian style but i duno wat i was looking at lolx but i still love dis pic

Took dis photo wif mui chia & Kan foong, looks a little scary =D actually us ladies from he comm supposed to b bunnies lolx but none if us wore bunny ears until the last moment for comm photo-taking lolx. We tricked the crowd twice. 1st was a fake lucky draw, randomly pasting purple colored paper behind seats & ensuring that they go on stage to play a 'licking peanut butter' game, rather funny. Next trickery was a fake nomination for best dressed personal, n again asking the 'nominees' to come on stage, one from each table to play 'pass seaweed wif only yr mouth' game, dis one is really funny to watch them. lolx Below wif JK crowned Master's macho man, i like the sash(lilac color)cos i got it made although my mum tailor it =D All the thx to my mama!!!

Wif Mr personality, Peng Keong, used to b in the comm but quited. i really like his dis outfit v nice =D Below a pic wif my blkmate senior from pharmacy & ex vball capt' Qian hong, in the pic i look im crying... i duno but i wasnt for the whole nite!!! lolx eyes just look red & watery.

NUS open house 2009

Went for the open house wif Ben(mj) for fun lolx just to get the goodie bag, while he went to look for frens lolx. 2 bo liao pple go there just to watse time lolx. yepz While waiting for the free shuttle bus @ Dover, he meet a gal (from mj too) from his OG as a guide. yepz earning that $80 per dae that i wana get but cos i got DnD i cnt go!!!! wah~

Reached mpsh went into hall 5(all the CCAs etc), i felt weird walking thro cos u noe im a NUS student walking thro a supposedly for potential NUS students lolx. wen pple ask i feel v pai sei to ans, im like im a nus student lolx. ben will b like i haven ORD yet lolx & the point is that he's intending to join NTU. diao~ went to KE7 booth got a a shower gel that leaks....it wasnt capped properly lah haha. luckily dun hav my photo at the booth lolx. sad dun hav vball gals' pic but got the guys' one.

Took a tour that takes the A bus route, for fun not that i needed it lolx, i take that route almost daily... initally wanted to stop at PGP to go back to hall to put my stuffs but the bus didnt stop...T_T lolx so toured back to mpsh loh. went to eat SUBWAY!!!! yea~ long time since i last ate =D then 2 of us parted our ways, i went back to hall while he went into mpsh to look for his fren & most prob now he's in NTU open hse =D

Waiting for 3pm to go to Seletar Country Club for DnD later at nite. Cnt wait!!! hopefully the event wld b a great success!!! Will update tml abt it.

Boring

Been a week since i blogged cos i didnt hav anything to blog abt. I finally went for a jog this morning b4 breakfast. Been REAL long since i last ran.... lolx I learnt smth todae, that is i cant do any excercise without first having my stomach filled.... i realised i always eat breakfast no matter what in the morn first b4 heading out to wherever, even for a morn excercise. mmm... it mus been a shock for my body, by the time i came back i was feeling tired (from not running/using my lungs for such a long time) & most imptly hungry... lolx though i cnt stand my hunger, i resisted food for awhile to shower first...but i dun feel full after my breakfast =( shall eat more during lunch =D

Just came back from FHD mmmm.. wasnt as gd as de 1st one in my opinion. dinner was ok wif occasional fun stuffs happening. presenting the menu~

Thats the crabmeat & fish maw soup, rather nice =) there was this massive bingo game first prize = 8G thumbdrive next is 4G thumbdrive. i was kinda unlucky lolx cos for the first half i didnt even get a single number... T_T Made new frens wif the CD blkers =) one german exchange student who just lives directly opp me =) the last time i saw him was him walking back to his room while brushing his teeth =D lolx the band sang two songs, 'im yrs' & 'i believe i can fly'. the interesting thing is tt pple threw paper planes wen the 2nd song was played =) The guy below (CD blk joel) is folding a plane =)Took few pics onli sad cos there were many other hu wasnt present =(

Blk Comm Retreat

Went for a retreat ytd, THX to our dear social sec. VINCENT!!!!! ex-AB blk head whoot. lolx Initially the venue supposed to be at Aloha Loyang but there was a sudden change of venue to Aloha Changi... the point isnt abt the venue, its abt the weather!!!! OMG It was bloodily pouring... wrong metaphor lolx watever u get my pt... heehee The place looks Veri the old like during the 60's... they sae it can b used to flim horror movies... lolx yepz the balcony looks creepy...

Reached and played 2 rounds of uno heehee, first round playing for IVP championship lolx, geraldine teo won, im runnerup to her lolx. Opp my room there's a tree tt bears so many jackfruits! =D Met the gals at Ochard dis morn at ard 11, to go shopping =D. Waited for ger to appear (overslept)... Noobs finding where Tanglin Mall is cos Justine wanted to eat Bricks... haiz walked 1 big round to the place but in the end there isnt any Bricks so we settled for the food court dere. I ate sake don, quite yummy =).

After tt, took bus 7 to lucky plaza, all of them got bubble tea except me & just' cos its ex - $1.50.... walked to Far East Plaza finally lolx. There our shopping spree began. =D
walked for so damn long until our legs ache... initially just' wanted to do a relaxing manicure but cos she lack of time as she needs to rush off for her meeting, she didnt do instead... ger & jaz did instead (ger mani, jaz padi) lolx while waiting for them the rest of us went ard shopping... poon finally decided to buy a pair of shoes from mondo at $10 per pair!!! cheap leh i was tempted but didnt... lolx in the end bought a tanktop =D the onli thing i bought... went back to hall... hungry & ate dinner... sat for awhile chitchatting... lolx =)

it just pains me to see someone i realli like undergoing a time of uncertainty... i wished u haven been so hard on yrself, blame yrself for those things tt didn went well. i noe tt it had been hard for u even till now, to undergo so much tt sometimes i feel reali fortunate to b hu i m & b grateful for the things tti hav & those ard me.... these feelings just overwelm me now... unable to control the tears flowing down my eyes, those tears not of sympathy but of care & concern. i admire the courage tt u had, the courage to move on past those unbearable times u had been thro. i hope ull soon find the courage to move on, put away the past & look into the future. Haiz, we lost again but at least we learnt from our mistakes to make a better person/player out of ourselves. =D thats the main pt. Our first match was againast Eusoff, that we didnt lost too badly at least we got half of the pts out of the match. Ytd we played against Temasek which i sadly regrettly say we cld hav won because of our mistakes tt we made esp me..... they were last yr champions but their team wasnt strong, in fact the lost to EH. yea so im at fault & mayb i felt the pressure, i wasnt sure wat i was feeling then. I shldnt hav any regrets nw cos its over but they were at last gd matches =D.

We went for supper which our darlin' capt' drove us to Bukit Timah area =D. Drinks were on her so yeppy!!! THX PRIYA!!!! We ate prata!!! =D

im feeling very irritable by someone todae, i cnt stand his constant msging everydae.... i told him from dae 1 that i onli treats him as a fren but... he told me tt his interest on me grew everydae which kinda gives me creeps, reminded me of another guy hu also found me on frenster saes ondae so suddenly tt he loved me.... tt obviously got me creeps... not tt i wan to boost or anithing i just wanna get the guy off.... im FUSTRATED!!!!!!! Dis week so far i been slping at 1-2 am in the morn, a new record set for my entire schooling life. Went out actually to watch the guys play vball @ redhill wif my dear fren priscilla, 2 gals (tt us) onli... lolx then the guys asked us to brg our shoes along so we can play, & we did for 2 sets wif the gals dere. =) not bad but the first set i played was horrible, then i began to get a little more confidence so naturally the play shld b better =). then we head back to hall, we kept missing the train & the buses....lolx bad luck ytd. Went to fong seng but...there was too many pple so we went to shears hall instead. walked back & the usual, go shower then chill a while then slp... i got a bruise... the tree root wasnt v visble in the dark by the side of the court so i didnt notice & wen i went dwn to recieve the ball up frm pris tt's wen i got friction then i notice the bruise ard it... haiz pris got a even larger bruise.... managed to see orion ytd too although it wasnt as bright as on tues. I mus jia you for my spike & recieve!!! & cos my studies!!!

First genetic lab

Had my first genetics lab ytd, extracting DNA and bacteria culture. Not much diff from the previous lab i've done on bacteria though. The fun thing abt the lab is that we nd to make a tiny hook using a glass rod =) so there's to out glass-crafting skills!!! Here's a pic to show wat i hav done in the lab...lol =D
Had a really busy dae ytd, didnt hav time to myself at nite though i class started at 2pm. Had lab from 2 to ard 530, went back for dinner, rush over to my tut at 6-7, rush back to hall for vball trg from 7 & train/play to 1030, went shower & wash my laundry, went for Dnd meeting @ 11 to ard 1, wanted to get sometime to myself be4 slpin & to charge my ph also, then slpet at 2 this morn cos i cnt take it animore... wow i spent 12hrs non-stop!!! first time...lolx woke up ard 8am.... still slpy & tired...

Haiz, starting dis wk, my lab starts.... haiz. had my first lab earlier, Biochem lab in which we had to measure pH values using the pH meter.... something we nv played b4 in jc =]. i did my lab wif tingmei, a mjc from s308. M squeezing my brain juice to ans the questions in the expt nw.... haiz..... better go back to sloving the questions wif my frens. I dun hav a gd feeling abt plotting the titration curve for buffers.... if onli i know how to use the computer to plot....

Contd on from just nw... had a extra lect just nw from 6 to ard 730pm... The wind was or still is exceptionally strong nowadays if u come to realise... esp at nite & esp in NUS cos we r on the hill....lolx. yep so basically its WINDY and cold.... some pics that i took out of fun =)

A new term has started

Ytd supposed to b the first dae of sch yet i hav no classes ytd! whoot! but that doesnt mean im wasnt doin nth... well i went home to move somemore stuffs into hall & went ikea for a while before headin back to hall for dinner & the events that awaits me. But i missed the most impt thing!!! Tut balloting!!! shoot man, so i had to ballot todae & wasnt happi cos the choices left were rather pathetic cos lots of them clashes wif my core lect if nt labs.... haiz

Went to clementi bookstore to check out a biochem textbk then went to meet ng for lunch @ sci canteen. head back to hall & waited to near 2pm for my first lect of the term & i onli hav 1 lect todae...but that doesnt mean im v free. My wed is Disastrous, 8 hrs straight of lect, 3 sci then de last fass. haiz, im counting on u ger to provide me wif food every wed....lolx

Still aching from the vball trg i had, since i haven excercise for 100 yrs...lolx trained for 3 hrs on sun then another 2 hrs ytd...haiz my legs almost turned into pulp & my arms and back ached totally!!!

Its 2009 pple so happi new yr too all!!! Miss ya all my frens. Spent ytd wif mjc Benjamin. Met up @ City hall & he thought me pool basics but i totally suck.... then we went bowl... lol... i sucked too... i had nv hit so many zeros in my entire life... my ball was actually going nice & straight then suddenly i made a turn & gone man... zero. blame it on the lane totally

Went to meet ben's parents (dun get me wrong), he told me it's their anniversary so yea, we r sorta their lightbulb... lolx, actually ben's sis got other plans & thus got xtra ticket so yea... the fireworks were really beautiful.... so glad to see it live there. lots of pple were by the bridge watching too...

Pasir Ris Mangrove

I promised myself tt ill visit de mangrove in Pasir Ris soon & since i was feeling totally bored, i chose to go todae =) I didnt realised tt de mangrove was so near my hse....lolx The weather was lookin great wen i set off @ ard 1230-1300.... i noe crazy time to walk in a park but again de weather's great, cloudy & nt much sun Hurray =D deres de cute map of de area =)
Deres alot of crabs grazing the low tide areas wen i walk along a stretch of the walkway. pretty sight. Above is de Episesarma Singaporense aka S'pore vinegar crab which r tree-climbing on high tides to avoid predators tt hunt wif de incoming tide. Dere r 3 species of Eppy which r differenciated by the colour of the claws.

There's a fish in de centre of de pic on de mount of earth.... i spoted it along the trail of crabs earlier. Dunno wats de name..... Most prob the mudskipper....

If u notice carefully, ull c de Rhizophora propugule in de middle of de pic.

Try to spot a shell in the middle of the pic, its camofludged.... lolx i spotted it along de trail again. I predict it's Diogenes sp aka mangrove hermit crab which arent closely related to true crabs. It not likely to be Cerithedia obtusa aka the mud creeper (snail) most commonly known as 'chut-chut'... comparing the two posters pics i took along de wae.... it looks more likely de shell of de hermit crab....

That's the bird-watching tower but too bad i didnt see any birds.... =(

A few metres away frm the bird-watching tower are 2 bird-watching hut. Behind a hut lurks some danger..... Beware

Nearby de swarp is a eco pond but theres nth except some plants ard de pond...disappointed

Dis u wldnt expect wld b branched off frm a drain wldnt u? but in fact it is!!!! Surprise surprise thats y i didnt realise tt the mangrove's so near me & i hav walked past it so many times & i didnt noe.....lolx. The left bank's the swarp & the right bank is just pasir ris park; costa sands resort & downtown east =) Wen i walked out frm the area its bloody freaking hot!!!! (pardon the language) yea so much sun..... haiz dere my little adventure ended rather quick. if any care to come for a tour i wld gladly take u dere =)

Woke up dis morn @ 0520!!!! haha so early. Had breakfast then rush off to catch de 6am bus but i waited for almost 30mins!!!! haiz....

Reached admiralty at ard 7am to wait for my fren @ 740 which i waited to 750 but...... he nv appeared....haiz... then took a cab for 9 bucks & reached @ 810. So i missed the guided tour.... haiz hence im a little saddened....nah, im nt angry wif my fren. I thus went sightsee & track the trail by my own, quite plesant walk as i cn do things @ my own pace =)

The Casuarina equisetifolia aka common Ru hu's wood is used as timber. Above shown de casuarina tree which has been chopped down. Its fruits can also b seen. =)
The Dillenia/Wormia suffruticosa aka Simpoh Air. Its flower and fuits r as shown above. This species can b found throughout S'pore.

I saw a blue bird along the trail & i guessed tt dere's a high chance t it's de kingfisher but i didnt managed to take a pic of it.... so sad. Reached de end of the trail rather quickly... nt much to see coz no animals sighted & no guide.... Drifted ard the area & realised tt the Kranji Resevior is just beside. So beautiful de scene & dere's a couple fishing nearby =)

De other side of the road, near here's de Kranji battle site but i didnt went further in. Dun wanna get lost.... lolx

Excluding de rest of de dishes below de buffet thingy (those r siok's to her mum cos her mum's bdae was ytd) we had a fulfilling dae & dinner + it's totally worth it. =D

Siok's was like, U wear yr sunglass then take pic (to me). De thing covering her eyes, actually de tray holding the wet paper towels.... haha, fashion statement 101, by siok!!! Yea, its a trend to wear these type of barred glasses, though i tot i to b somewat silly..oops lolx. Me & siok acting cute actually, lov tt cut off teeth bared by poon & justine's lame smile... haha. Cass came over to my sch cos she wanted to buy a textbk. I was shocked to hear that her textbks in AU cost ard $100 each bk.... wen we cn buy it here for less than $50.... gosh

Cass was v kind enough to help me carry some stuffs back home and after that we drop by her hse so tt she dun hav to carry her burden of the textbk ard. We then head for Orchard =) Shopping yeppy!!!! we each bought a dress from Far esat plaza =) & i saw a red bikini that i like in the same shop..... *hint hint* lolx

I hav been burping nonstop since i woke up dis morning.... too much gas in my gut but wats it caused by??? i hav no idea.. im bored so im here blogging abt my uncurable thingy todae... haiz.... i was thinking of cutting my gut open to release all the gas, but i noe it sounds gross.....

Met new frens all guys =) Frens of eugene, 1 was frm mj hu i onli saw but nv talked to b4. Met Constance outside zouk, her click were unable to get in cos tickets for ladies were out, although they wanted to pay men's fee, the bouncer still didnt wan to let them in..... too bad. Didnt think tt shell she's tt kind of gal hu smoke.... Eugene oso smokes..... well, i dunno i guess pple change.... Its ladies nite btw =) so i gt in free, but anywae, eugene had bked a table so dun hav to pay.... =) the dancefloor was super crowded..... didnt dance much.... my dearly frens nt wif me either.... sad....

I had my last practical of the term & yesterday was the last dae of de term & i'm glad it ended wif my zoo prac. Had such a great time. Nv had a more educational trip to the zoo. Took quite a number of photos.... all of which r animals. onli 2 photos with humans in them. lolx. did'nt managed to take all the animals we went to see... sad.... here goes!

i'm here blogging when i shld be studying... cos my brain is abt to burst like a rbc undergoing plasmolysis.....

Dis Mon (past), ng & ger stayed over @ my hostel...... was a rather warm night & my room was also unusually warm.... must b 2 of them contirbuting heat..... lolx. I came back frm vball sweating as hell, shag & studied while i waited for 11pm for my blk comm meeting.....

Had my gen. physio lab.... dis time we r learning abt muscles so we had a exp. on muscles... We got a sample of a muscle strain that looks a bit like a 'mao' as my grp mate termed it.... cos it really looks like one.... lolx. Next is the fun part!!!! We get to measure the contractions of our muscles and in turn listen to the sound the muscles produced (energy transformation form electrical to sound). First we had 1 of our grp members to put electrodes on her dormiant forearm, then her upper arm, next another person's lower thigh, then another's cheek... (lolx), & lastly 3 of us each has a electrode..... (actually, we r supposed to do the fore arm onli, the rest we just think of anything possible & play & hav fun!!!!!) haha.

Let's start from last wed. I had my gen physio prac on respiration. We were given life mealworms & crickets for the experiment. here's the set up of the prac....

now time to blog abt yesterdae... firstly i met ng & jus @ city hall mrt stn to meet the rest (bx, sar, siok, nick, poon, yq, ty, ger, jaz & sharon for lunch @ just's noodles in suntec to celebrate bx's last dae in spore b4 leaving for aus for outfield training.... which reminds me, my bro's coming back todae @ break.... this will be his last training outfield in thailand be4 kissing NS gdbye, but he still nd to do re-svs....

we took LOTS of photos... really no joke..... total of abt 63 with ng's camera, mine abt 20-30 but i deleted some.... with jus' phone.... i dun wanna think, i guess is SUPER many.... lolx. ng counted that when we're travelling to UCC..... we nv took this many photos b4 yet. new record!!! lolx

After lunch went strolling to mrt stn wif the rest..... coz i wanna drop by my hall first b4 going UCC, me, ng, ger & jaz left earlier... reached my hall & it's photo taking session!!!! lolx. ng tried to take us all 4 at diff angles in my room..... haha. too many photos, just put up some.. =) let ng put up the rest @ facebk, aniwae i dun wanna own facebk... haha

Reached hall with my legs felt like breaking... esp my right ankle... dunno y.... pain sia.... bathed and after like 20 mins or so... crashed on my bed & well, good nite! lolx didn't really feel like waking up (that was like 8 in the morn...), no choice, told myself must wake up to study..... haiz.

Haha, hurray! Finally i finished my chem lab report..... such a long and not exciting thing to do..... sianz. Had my netball trg just now @ 7pm...... legs and arms not strong enough as before.... haha... old le.... i guess must be from yesterdae's vball, but vball quite slack leh.... hmmm.....

I had my first general physology prac last wed...... had to particpate in the SARS drill as i had my prac ard the targeted area...... aniwae, we were given dried sea fireflies during de prac. Obective of te prac is to see the enzymatic mechanism of the enzyme luciferase. We crashed the fire flies which all were onli less than 5mm long..... so tiny. Smelled like ikan billis when crashed. It's a crustean by the wae, if u dunno wats that, i meant that i had a protective outer shell and thus is a relative of the crabs etc.

Bad lighting.....

haiz.... had my chem prac last thurs..... think i ruined it....... damn.... While i was turning the glasstube waiting to see whether my sample melted, the stupid tube broke!!!! & there goes my accuracy for my trail run & actual run.... spoiled my whole mood, plus i was rushing for time, trying to complete before the time limit..... haiz.... aniwae cn change the figures..... Damn man, still nd to do lab report.... still haven do yet.... going to be due soon.

Had a fire drill too on thurs.... @ my hall..... haha, pretty much fun..... the whole thing lasted less than 10 mins... the shortest fire drill i ever partcipate in..... the hall was pretty much empty as u noe, nobody wans to run abt @ 830pm.... haha. aniwaes, i was the fire warden as i'm a floor I/C... haha.

After that, we had something i waited for 1 wk!!!! my blk's RF supper!!!! yea!!!! my RF was away thus i had my hall master to be our temp RF. So.... we got to go his hse to have supper!!!! V. nice to be invited to my hall master's hse!!! Best thing...... donuts frm donut fac!!!! lolx yeppy!!!!

Biodiversity Rox! <3

I had my biodiversity Changi beach field trip last fri. Quite a new experience consider us going there not for relaxation purpose but rather to know more about nature & life.

At first i tot it'll b a super hot day cos of the weather in sch, so warm!!!!! As we near Changi area, the weather was nice, so cooling, shady & cloudy. We all hope that i would'nt rain. The weather in fact stayed that way throughout the whole practical which lasted roughly about in total 3hrs. The shortest biodiv prac we ever had thus far. My TA was mia @ the US, so our TA for this prac for my grp was a v. fun english guy. V funny, he sent us an e-mail before the prac in the morning reminding us to remind our TA to put on sunblock...... diao, i noe but still funny.... haha.

While others are enjoying the scene at the beach, we are walking ard looking for life. I guess those who passing by must b wondering wat we all r doing. Most of us went into the water to have a look at some of the underwater life. My group manage to see a sea anemone partially submerged in the water, near it is a small cluster of small catfishes trying to burrow into the sand between 2 rocks. Cute!!!! lolx. There were a small population of drills (a type of sea predatory snails) & lots of barnacles dead & alive cn't really tell the diff. After that we r given a choice to b a fisherman for a few mins at the shallow end of the sea......to see what we could catch. We did'nt catch much.... so sad..... We manage to catch bell jellyfishes which r really bell-liked (tiny-transparent & doesn't sting), lots of tiny fishes that r like ikan billis (lolx) & a pipefish (a type of sea-horse) plus a REALLY tiny shrimp lolx.

We went to see what the other grps & the TAs have caught. dun be suprised to hear what animals i have seen!!!! There's was a filefish aka leather jacket, 2 really small pufferfish, a fish that resembles a clownfish except that it's covered with dull red & vlack strips, a mantis shrimp, 2 ribbon fishes (dead as they cannot survive being caught by a net), a tiny moon crab, a cuttlefish, lots of ikan billis (haha), pipefishes and a small sea-horse (v. pretty but could onli get a look at it fom topview, haiz, wat a pity).

Unfortunately, we still had our CA after the prac at the beach. Pretty wierd..... haha, we tok a grp photo of my prac cum tut grp, too bad we r missing 1 person..... We all look rather unglam esp me..... lolx here's it!!!!

Yesterday nite was my hall's FHD (Formal Hall Diner), although they ask us all to dress smart casual, pple still look rather formal, esp the guys as the always wear longsleeved and slacks..... lolx. I'm in the DnD comm. and so dis yr, we sold flowers yesterday during FHD..... Not really nice looking but still pretty enough, some are really blooming nicely though.... heehee.

Freshmen were supposed to find a senior date to the event although many, like me, didn't find one...... lolx. still had some fun. Well, there u'll see all those couples tog.... interesting hor, haha. The food was rather good..... hope that they cook those good food daily for us....Lolx, i dun think that will happen.......

Yeah!!!! It's the week's finially drawing near & most of my CAs are OVER!!!! So pleased!

Didn't do v well for my first organic chem CA.... gotna admit, i didn't study really hard for it. My general physology's not too bad lah.... =)

Haiz, Uni isn't easy man...... tough life & stressed...... Glad that we can have a break. Still got 1 more CA after recess wk.... boo...... at least got time to study.....

So happy that i'm meeting the gals out on sat nite for kbox session. Been too long since i enjoyed myself outside sch. =) Can finally connect wif the outer world..... sounds like i was stranded for like a mth or more.... heehee

Finally Finish watching ANTM cycle 10, they had a really nice runway but nt as grand as cycle 9. Now starting to watch ATNM cycle 1 as i only managed to catch cycles 8-10. Pretty interesting to see how antm progress. Aidos, gona continue watching antm!!! =)

Recess week's drawing near....... i got CAs coming up next week......

Well, i gave up my mkg head post and now i feel more relaxed. Right now, i'm busy with my Dinner and Dance stuffs.... busy sending out emails of enquires about their venues and spaming my head of DnD with their replies. LOLX. So far, it's been fun, really looking forward to next yr's DnD. yeah, it's next year, 14 March 2009!!!!! Haix, later got Biodiversity lab and an essay quiz after my lab and i dunno how m i gona suvive it. Man, zoology's tough!!!! TOTALLY!!!!!!! So many terms and Phylums to learn and memorise..... I almost cn't stand it. When my lecturer's talking, i'm like overwelmed with all the new stuffs going into my brain. That's y i prefer botany.

Speaking of which, dis word 'botany' reminds me of ger. Well, on Tues, me and ng were deciding on whether to go biz sch or fass to hav our lunch, we in the end decided biz. Ate their western, nt really nice though...... met up wif Sarly as she was there having lunch too and gona chiong for her tut. Ger came along after her tut too. So i told ger and ng abt my v interesting botany lecturer who's retired and works at the botanical garden as a guide, and his v interesting comments during my lect wif him. So instead of saying 'botany' - study of plants, ger said 'plantology'....... which i dun tink theword even exist.....

But aniwae, they had a good laugh over my lect's comments. I'm gona miss him.... sad. Not that my zoology lecturer isn't funny too, i guess i'm really more into plants than animals.

Dis week is not a nice week for me...... I already felt that mayb i took too many comms. or cca. It's really not easy especially if u hav absolutly NO experience in the area. I'm cuerrently mkg head for my hall production & it's REALLY not easy.... Why did i ever take the job..... Guess i hav no choice but to be more determine to push myself forward and do well, hopefully though.....

Hate meetings, esp when they r going to be like at 11pm at nite..... haiz..... hate doing proposals too.... esp for things that i hav no confidence in like mkg...... someone save me??? I like going to give up my post but feels irresposible if i do that since i have already in it, in the process of strating the whole project. Man, it's gona be a hell of problem for me.

Too much negativity's coming out from me, so unlike me... but i can't help it. I'm gona get over it & like do the job. but i think the whole thing's going to turn out fine at the end, hopefully. I guess i have to work REALLY REALLY hard, & luckily, i found someone hu cn share the job wof me, nt tt i'm pushing my duties, but rather i still hav other commitments in other comms. Cheer up, & get ready to GO!!!!

Been a long while since i blogged, ger complained....... (Justine even worse i tink..... lolx, so long nv update, lolx). Aniwae, school life's becoming more familiar to me as time passes. time REALLY flies....

My CCA's gona start tml, netball, first training ever. I tink it's gona to be fun!!! lolx, just came back from my blk comm meeting & now currently watching antm cycle 10 episode 3, picking up from wat i left off just now. Pretty interesting dis cycle, managed to coax ger into watching. nt coax actually.... haha, more like me mentioning it & she goes WWWWAAAAA & she's gona watch it!!! lolx

Ger came over to my room just now ard 5, when she was like supposed to end at 6...... =) Had her to brg me some treats, yea!!! But she ate my pringles, beacon-favoured, nice taste but a little too salty. Shld try it. =)

2 weeks in to uni life...

Wat a not so productive dae for me todae..... I onli had 1 lecture coz i didn't hav my lab session... Sianz Haven start mugging yet, oh no.... haven even buy my organic chem bks..... I had gorcery shopping with my blk comm membersat sheng siong in clementi near west coast. Pretty nice experience there, quite fun. =) We were abt to leave the place when a sudden & REALLY heavy rain pour on us (nt literally, we were still sheltered luckily) So we had no choice but to take de cab back to hall.

Yesterday, i had my 1st ever blk supper!!! We started preparing at 6 when supper was supposed to started at 10. Yea, we were already assigned different food to prepare. Okay, here's our supper menu: Pizza toast; Spagetti wif carbonara sauce; potato salad; fried stuffs include famosa, nuggets & fries; cocktail; brownie wif chocolate ice cream; watermelon & lastly mango punch. =) Sounds yummy rite? lolx yea, it is. except i didn't try de fried stuffs =(
I prepared toast and the spagetti with a senior & a fellow mate. All of us hu prepared the food r blk comm members. The guys did all the cutting of the food stuffs tt include cucumbers, hotdogs, mushrooms etc. so horrible...... as in the cuttting, but it's still food & still edible. so nvm.... nt to mention that nuggets are peeling.... haha i heard tt nobody like dare to take them... poor nuggets... haha
I'm proud tt our supper was successful! lolx rather fun experience oso if u ask me. Praises for the food, HURREY!!!
I learnt how to play mahjong yest too. haha nw we cn play, just nice 4 of us, hee. i took a crash course called MJ1101: Fundementals of Mahjong, tt's wat my fren named it when he was abt to teach us (or during) haha. Next, he advanced me & my fren to MJ1201: Basics to Mahjong. I got a India blk mate hu was oso learning wif us. When he ask our 'mentor' to repeat again, our dear 'mentor' ask him to take chinese lessons...... cos mahjong is mostly in chinese.... nt really funny nw, but it was hilarious then. lolx
I manged to win twice, yeappy!

Todae, my lesson starts at 12 todae, but i had to go to sch early at 10 to get my safety googles for lab as they went out of stock lask wk.... but it was worth it as it onli cost 11 bucks when it is sold at a much higher px than our sch co-op.

Meeting ng tml to go central library at bugis to find bks for our complementry health & med project. haiz..... time to work hard & nt slack! Slacked enough already.

School starts

Wat a boring day..... dun have letures today....

I started school at 8am in the morning and i had lectures for 6hrs straight for 3 modules. I started the day with statistics for life sciences. At first, i tot it wld be v boring but the lecturer's antics was amusing..... though a dry module, but at least the prof. was amusing.... tt kept me awake for awhile.

Yesterday i started sch at 12!!!!!! lolx. Met Ng for lunch, amazingly they (ng & jaz) ended their lect l hr be4 de predicted timing...... so lucky, like nv attend de class like tt..... Went for lect wif Ng..... okay module, will be learning abt herbs and touch on med. mtds and tcm. cool, but i tink dere will surely b memory work tt i hate....

No lects todae. When i open my NUS e-mail acct just nw, i almost got a shock, quite a no. of e-mails unread..... but most of them r nt of any use to me..... lolx. Will b meeting Jaz later at 2 for lunch and we'll b yan juing (dunno wat eng word to use, oops) the sci library then. Nw watching olympics bball & blogging at the same time. (usa vs duuno hu cos cn't recognise wat country) Waiting for swimming heats at 1000 for phleps. haha. so exciting to watch him swim..... i want to watch vball but it won't show until like nxt wk...... haiz. Nd to print lots of notes sia, sianz.... life w/o a printer in NUS is a dead dead meat man..... for LS pple. But duno abt the rest......

Beijing Olympics!

Sorry guys, i tink there's smth wrong with the date & stuff. Last entry was on the 8th Aug nt 7th. Haiz.

Today is the start of the 2008 olympics, yesterday, i watched the opening with my hall mates. Mostly China pple...... so all the while they are cheering for the country. Waite pretty long for britian, usa, spain, switzerland and singapore and not to mention china, where everyone 's looking at the no. of sportsmen they sent out. Pretty impressive huh.

Well, yesterday was NUS annual Rag day. We started the day with a excercise, walking from my KE hall via a stretch of road towards Lt32 the down stairs to SRC.

There were onli a few of us and so we have to 'chop' place for the rest coming....

We waited for some time before the thing actually start and i painted my hand! lolx lucky nv paint my face, cos most of us got sunburn, haha.

After my hall had presented theirs, i went off to meet my darling frens!!! at Bugis. Poon and Justine broke camp at 1530..... Hearing them talk abt their oirentation makes the 4 of us v innocant.... Cos they sae in their 'To Brg list' they are to brg alcohol if they want..... which is nt allowed in our school or hall compound..... Well, from their experiences they dun really like the culture, which is clubbing culture, which i feel is great for them (as in, i support them opposing dis kind of thing, yeah).

Went back to my hall cos i forgot to brg my hp charger..... actually i was still indecisive abt going home or staying in hall.... well, i'm in hall, gona go have my breakfast! Bye!

Annual Rag + Flag

Today's NUS's annual Rag day. This year we are gonna have it at NUS SRC. Well, Rag day ia a day where NUS various groups show their hardwork and creativity. We had our Flag day on Tues...... very tiring...... it lasted the whole day....... longer than any flag days i ever joined. We all woke up at 0415, set off at 0515 to our respective stations. Guess wat? I got allocated Pasir Ris!!!! My hometown, wat a coincidence, totally! Lolx

We all got 3 cans each, but i onli brought 2 with me..... managed to fill the first up to abt 3/4 full, the second one barely half-filled. But nevertheless, it's a good sign for me.... hope i dun have to do this next yr... heehee.

Before that, on Mon, we had a Freshmen inaugation ceremony. A little boring lah, nothing much, just to signify that we all are now officially part of the NUS familiy. =)

That's us outside the hall. Pretty nice place. We got a laptop bag, a foolscap pad and some other stuffs. Plus, we got a guide of wat good food to find and eat in NUS!!!! Great!!!!

Well, this is my first time blogging.....

I just came back yesterday from my hall oritentation week!!! Have a great time =). I made lots of frens but mostly are of other nationalities. Most of them are from China, M'sia, some from India, ASEAN countries, some came for 2 sem of exchange programme. Pretty cool to noe these pple. Actually, i think hall life will be fun but tiring too. U gota join activities & stuffs to get points to continue staying on. Most pple stayed for 2 sems or even onli 1.... I hope i can stay on.

Oh yes!!! Gota share wat i did during my orientation, haha. There's much breathing space in between lah. Sorry, but i dun really hav much pics to show. =(

Day 1: Welcoming and open ceremony + ice breakers within OG

Day 2: Breakfast at 830 (daily)

Flag making (painting) this my group flag

We started onli with blue, red yellow and off yellow paint..... & we came out with purple, green and orange!!!! BTW, it's a dolphin =). Then we had a a hunt ard my hall to find clues.... we had a tiring time.... There's a guess, wat's King Edward VII hall famous for? ..........STAIRS!!!!!! lolx

We are at the tallest part of KE hall =).

Day3 : We had talks regarding how to bid for modules etc. We made something out of recycled materials.

At nite, we had dis station game ard campus.... & my group members hav reduced itself to 5....... from 11 at the start....

Day4: We went out of campus for a food hunt. we tried claypot laksa at Alexandra, duck rice at harbour front(not v nice), 5 spice at Maxwell, desert at Old market and lastly smelly beancurd and soybean curd at geylang. At nite, we were slpit from our individual OG to our respective blocks. I'm from AB!!!! Ke is divided in to East wing (blks AB and CD) & West wing (E, F and GH).

Day5: We had to bid for our modules in the morning with the help of our deary seniors coz. My frens & i had a really hard time trying to fix our timetable, horrible experience. After tt we went to sentosa in the afternoon. A rather fast journey, to those who dunno, NUS is fairly near Vivo city. =D

We played a twisted version of captain's ball. First started with a vball, then after 3 1/2 mins, a cardboard dice is rolled to determine wat are we throwing... we threw a IKEA snake, a plush tiger and toilet paper with a core..... wierd but fun.... & since my block and another blk lack pple, we combine to form ABE!!! lolx Guess wat, we won!!!

We went to eat Ben & Jerry's at Vivo, grocery shopping (such a funny experience) then went back to hall.

Day6: We had a mini IBG (inter blk game) after breakfast. So fun!!!! We played v wierd combination of games too. First Capnet (captain's in netball style) v tiring..... next we played Handsoc (handball + soccer) when the siren goes, we have to change....v funny but fun too. lolx

This marks the end of my hall orientation & i really had lots of fun & joy & not to mention sweat. U hav to experience it to noe the fun. Too bad guys.
